PEARLS MELBA IS A SMALL COMPANY BASED IN MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, operated by me, Julianne Richards.

My interest in pearls has led me on an exciting quest for knowledge from Australia to Tahiti, Bali and Hong Kong and has caused me to meet so many helpful and wonderful people along the way.

I have been privileged to visit working pearl farms in remote French Polynesia and Bali where I witnessed all aspects of perliculture, from the seeding of young oysters and the harvesting of beautiful pearls, right through to the dealings of the sales offices in Papeete and Denpasar.

Another great experience has been attendance at the jewellery fair in Hong Kong where the world meets to trade pearls, gems and everything to do with jewellery.

I purchase high quality Freshwater pearls in Hong Kong, as well as Tahitians and South Sea pearls. I also offer distinctive agate cameos from Idar-Oberstein in Germany, the traditional home of cameos.
